The Department of Foreign Languages fully supports the University’s international mission by helping to train specialists for the labor market, which also helps to raise the competitiveness and employability of our graduates. In all that we do we seek to ensure that VILNIUS TECH students and those in the academic community are proficient in being able to use a foreign language in their chosen profession.

History
Since 1 September 2014, foreign languages are taught also as an optional subject, students have the opportunity to choose from the following modules: German for beginners, French for beginners, and Chinese.
The Department of Foreign Languages maintains close relations with colleagues from the Goethe-Institut, the French Institute, the British Council in Lithuania, VU Institute of Foreign Languages, and the foreign language departments of other higher education institutions.
Additionally, the following languages are offered: From 1 September 2019 – Norwegian; in February 2020 – Italian, from October 2020 – Danish.
