lantis is not only a sunken underwater city shrouded in mystery, it is also a festival of contemporary art and music organized by the students of the Faculty of Creative Industries at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The festival is organized every year. This year, the festival was organized together with the CSB seminar. The event, which is taking place for the fourth time, attracts viewers with its versatility and innovation. The festival “Atlantida 2020” was supposed to take place in the very heart of Vilnius Old Town, in the courtyard of Tiškevičius Palace, which belongs to the VGTU Faculty of Creative Industries. However, it was moved to a virtual space this year due to quarantine during the pandemic Covid-19. That is why this year the festival is called “Atlantis in the Bath”.
The aim of the festival “Atlantis in the Bath” is not only to introduce the public to young creators in a free form and to provide useful knowledge in the field of creative industries but also to clarify the daily life of people interested in music and actively attending various cultural events during the quarantine. The CSB workshop was dedicated to intercultural business experiences.
The first part of the event was the CSB seminar “Intercultural Business Experiences in the Creative Industries”, where professionals from different business fields talked about the benefits of travel for business ideas, cultural differences in the international business sector and whether there is still a need to adapt to them. They also shared experiences on how creativity adds value and clogs budget holes. The lectures were given by famous people in Lithuania: journalist and TV presenter Orijus Gasanovas, restaurant consultant, food and beverage blogger Urtė Mikelevičiūtė and organizer of the festival “nowJapan” and initiator of various creative projects Sergej Grigorjev. Listeners participated in the discussion by asking questions to the speakers.
In the second, musical, part of the event, a group of young alternative musicians appeared, sharing their music from the bathroom or even from the lakeshore.
The event was broadcast on the Festival Atlantida Facebook page, which was watched by more than four thousand spectators. The CSB seminar was directly watched by about 100 people.
