Short film festival “MARCH OF CINEMA 2023”
PARTICIPATE IN THE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL “MARCH OF CINEMA 2023”!
Do you like filming, editing, acting, sounding, lighting, snapping the clapper or conducting on the set? Do you have any unimplemented film scripts or creative ideas in your head?
If you recognize yourself, take part in the VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Creative Industries, Creative Technologies Laboratory, short film challenge for all VILNIUS TECH students "MARCH OF CINEMA 2023"!
Build a team, create a short film and win prizes!
The main prize is the opportunity to see your film at the "MARCH OF CINEMA 2023" film screening ceremony! Also, a chance to win various nominations and to be immortalized together with your team in the film history of the Faculty of Creative Industries of VILNIUS TECH.
Short films will be awarded in as many as 9 categories:

The best director

The best screenplay

The best actor

The best operator job

The best soundtrack

The best montage

For the best film is a special nomination that will be chosen by the viewers of “MARCH OF CINEMA 2023”!
Short films will be judged by members of the commission - experienced professionals in the world of cinema:
Inesa Kurklietytė
Award-winning Lithuanian director, who was recognized as "Cinema Woman of the Year" at the Šeršėliafam International Film Festival.
Remigius Ruokis
Singer, songwriter, director, music video maker, TV show producer.
Marija Stonytė
Well-known Lithuanian and foreign director, Silver Crane participant and winner of the Scanorama film festival.
Milan Miletić
Executive Producer and Director for on/off-line audio visual programming: CBC, TV5 Monde, MTV, RTL 2, VICE Media and Euronews. Winner Best Short Documentary Film Director Award (SEE Festival, Los Angeles).
Saimir Bajo
Award-winning screenwriter, director, producer, dramaturge, lecturer, and scholar. His films have been selected for a number of prestigious film festivals including Berlinale Co-Production Market, CineLink, ALBAScript ir Cineuropa, TIFForm ir Torino Film Lab. Saimir is the director and co-screenwriter of the feature documentary film: „Decadent Nr. 2419“ –Tomas Venclova (2022).
3 main steps for successful participation in the "MARCH OF CINEMA 2023" short film challenge:

Assemble a team of 3-5 VILNIUS TECH KIF students (producer, director, video operator, sound designer, editor) + actors. Also, you can use the help of experienced filmmakers, hire professional actors.

Complete the challenge team FORM (registration up to and including February 28)

Film a short film and submit it to the judging panel by March 24th.
Students without a team (or the team lacks members) - we invite you to actively fill out the FORM and find each other.
Short film criteria:

The duration of the short film is 5-10 min.

The video and audio material used to produce the film must be used legally.

The format must be 1080p 24fps (FULL HD).

The film must be submitted with a short description and a poster of the film (4961 x 3508 px) in JPG or PNG format.

If you need additional filming equipment or technical advice, please fill out the form, which you can find on the WEBSITE of VILNIUS TECH KIF, Creative Technology Laboratory.
The award ceremony will be on March 31st. And all the short films that participated in the challenge will be placed on the YouTube channel of the Faculty of Creative Industries of VILNIUS TECH.
Detailed information with instructions and rules will be received by the teams registered in the "MARCH OF CINEMA 2023" challenge.
