Master studies
Since 1994 Building Construction Department prepares the only in country building renovation specialization. These studies are assigned to graduate (master degree) program "Architecture".
Two years of intensive studies focuses on practical design lectures led by experienced architects. Tours are constantly arranged to various buildings that are being renovated. In return, master’s degree students reward department with good study results, such as response in the community. Tadas Černiauskas graduate project - Arts factory possibilities study - was introduced in municipality of Šiauliai. Laurynas Vizbaras and his colleagues won the encouragement award in the international competition „Velux Award 2010". Master degree student of Building Construction Department Paulius Latakas 'Užupis Republic of creative industries cluster' project exhibited in „Ministry of Fluxus" exhibition of architectural ideas "I want to be built".
Bachelor studies
Lecturers of the Department provides a basic knowledge of building construction, computer-aided design and building physics for the Faculty of Architecture students. Building construction taught to full-time and part-time students of Environmental Engineering Faculty as well.
Lecturers
Lecturers of the Department regularly updates the taught modules, taking into account new technologies and scientific achievements, their qualification internships in foreign universities and industrial companies, are involved in faculty exchange programs and community activities.
Literature study
In the Department there are stored training and scientific literature, architectural and construction albums, producing typical catalogs, projects, building construction layouts. Lecturers has written and published over 50 educational literature publications and new methodological and scientific publications are developing. Next to the Department the best building renovation works by students are exhibited.
