STUDIES
The Master's study program in Transport Engineering Economics and Logistics offers a choice of two specializations - Logistics Supply Chain Management and Transport Logistics.
Transport logistics. The transport sector is of paramount importance to the economy of any country. When selling products, their transportation and logistics in local and international markets can make a business spin faster or even ruin it.
Transport plays an important role not only in delivering goods to the right place for consumers, but also in meeting the mobility needs of the population, ie in organizing the transport of passengers on domestic and international routes.
The demand for professionals capable of organizing the transport of passengers or goods by road, rail, air or sea is constantly being felt around the world.
Students of this specialization will get acquainted with the latest scientific achievements and deepen their knowledge in the fields of transport, logistics, management technologies, business, as well as the ability to conduct and apply research in the field of logistics.
Studies in the specialization of transport logistics are conducted in Lithuanian or English.
Logistics supply chain management. A logistics system is understood as the path of a product from the source of raw materials to the end user, combining the movement of material flow through supply, production and distribution intermediaries. This "road" is called the logistics supply chain, the management of which is one of the biggest challenges in the transport and logistics business. In order to ensure the successful development of the economy and the well-being of the population, logistics must enable the delivery of products or passengers to the right place at the right time, in the right quantity and while maintaining the quality of the transport process. Competing in global and rapidly changing markets benefits those who not only are able to meet their commitments on time, but also reduce costs as much as possible by maintaining and improving service quality and participating in the supply chain management process. Students of this specialization will also deepen their knowledge in the field of logistics supply chain organization and management, get acquainted with the latest theories, methods and technologies of passenger and freight transport, thus get acquainted with personnel management issues, assessing the specifics of supply chain activities. Graduates of the specialization will be able to conduct and apply research in the field of logistics supply chain management.
