About studies
The Faculty offers interesting and perspective studies. Graduates of the first or the second cycle Transport Engineering or Transport Engineering Economics and Logistics studies programmes do creative work with continually renewable technology - work which is connected with technology. Employed by a number of enterprises, institutions and organizations, our graduates organize vehicle maintenance and repair, cargo and passenger transportation. . They also deal with logistics issues, examine technical vehicles, lifting machines and other hazardous technical installations; explore, develop, and improve machines, work in the areas of traffic safety and environmental protection.
Students have the opportunity to study or to undergo training during one semester, and doctoral students as well as the academic staff can do internship in foreign universities and research institutions, and foreign companies. The best students receive scholarships from studies sponsors AB "Lietuvos geležinkeliai" (joints-stock company) and UAB "Girteka" (Ltd.).
