Transport and Logistics Competence Centre
The Transport and Logistics Competence Center (TLCC) was established in 2017. merging two divisions: the Intermodal Transport and Logistics Competence Center (2007) and the Transport Institute (1998). The aim of TLCC: to carry out international level research in the field of sustainable transport, to participate in international and national projects, to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in the study process of the Faculty of Transport Engineering
TASKS, DIRECTION, THEMES
Tasks of TLCC:
• Attract and retain researchers of the highest excellence capable of conducting international-level research in the field of sustainable transport. Establish and maintain business relations with external partners: scientific, business and state institutions.
• To strengthen the scientific potential in the fields of green, integrated and intelligent transport, to participate in the process of training researchers, to develop the skills required for work in international projects, involving young specialists in the implementation of international projects as far as possible.
• Carry out international level research (projects, studies, prepare recommendations) in the field of sustainable transport to achieve the priority goals of Lithuania and the European Union. Based on the research, make proposals to the public authorities on the transport policy strategy and its implementation measures.
• To create research-based innovations for business and society, promoting the sustainable development of Lithuania, increasing the competitiveness of the university in the region and in the world. Disseminate information on innovation and good practice in the field of sustainable transport, based on research and international projects.
