Guests from Taiwanese universities visited VILNIUS TECH
At the end of December, our Faculty received special guests - the visit was organized by a delegation from four prestigious Taiwanese universities: TAIWAN TECH, National Taiwan University, National Taitung University and National Cheng Kung University. Guests from Taiwan are actively working in the fields of education, research and technology. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen international relations, exchange academic experience and discuss cooperation opportunities between Lithuanian and Taiwanese higher education institutions.
The guests were interested in various activities and achievements of VILNIUS TECH. Special attention was paid to the Faculty of Transport Engineering, which presented its study system, ongoing scientific research, commissioned works and student activities.
During the visit, the guests got acquainted in detail with the activities of the Transport and Logistics Competence Center, including national and „Horizon“ programme projects in the fields of autonomous transport, railway transport and logistics.
In addition, the guests were shown the equipment of the Transport Engineering and Logistics laboratories, which is used for both studies and scientific research. The guests had the opportunity to visit:
• the vehicle transmission research sector;
• the internal combustion engines and alternative energy sources research sector;
• the transport hydraulic and pneumatic systems research sector.
“This visit is a great opportunity not only to share the accumulated experience, but also to start new joint projects that could contribute to the academic and economic progress of both countries” – says the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Olegas Prentkovskis.
This visit not only emphasized the importance of international cooperation, but also provided an opportunity to share good practices and discuss potential joint projects. The visit not only demonstrated the common determination of both countries to strengthen international cooperation, but also emphasized the importance of higher education in a global context.
