The Department of Economics Engineering was founded after reorganizing the Faculty of Business Management departments in 2017. The head of the Department is prof. Dr. Daiva Jurevičienė.
The mission of the Department is to carry out research on economic problems at the highest level and prepare highly qualified specialists at the national and international levels.
The Department aims to carry out research on economics at the international level and the process of economic studies based on academic values.
The exclusiveness of the Department:
Studies. The Department of Economics Engineering prepares professionals in economics who can model economic solutions based on compelling economic logic and the latest knowledge of economics. Teaches students of non-economic specialties who acquire competencies in economics that ensure their ability to compete in the global market.
Science. The Department of Economics Engineering researches economic problems at micro and macro levels participates in international economic research projects.
Economics Engineering Bachelor students who chose specialization in International Economic Relations can obtain a double degree with Kyungpook National University, South Korea.
The Department coordinates the following specializations of the Economics Engineering program:
Bachelor's study program: Economic Data Analytics and International Economic Relations.
Master's study program: Economic and Business Analytics and Global Economics.
There are four professors, 13 associate professors, one associate professor - partner, six lecturers (including 5 PhDs), one assistant currently in the Department.
Lectures of the Department teach the students of other faculties in Mico, Macro Economics, Economics, Creative Economics, etc. And also:
Bachelor's degree students: Principles of Economics, Comparative Economics, Quantitative Modelling Methods, Regional Economy, Far East Countries’, Russia and other CIS Countries, Nordic Countries' Economy, Economic analysis, Human Resource Economics, Economic Forecasting, Public Sector Economics, Digital Economics, International Economic Organizations, and their Policies, International Economics, Industrial Economy, Globalization Processes, Network Economics, EU Economic Policy, Artificial Intelligence in Economy, Data Visualization, etc.
Master's degree students: Quantitative and Expert Decision Methods; Research Methodology, Behavior Economics, Advanced Economics; Global Economy, Economic Decision Engineering, Benchmarking of Regional Economy, Applied Economics, etc.
