Darbo apimtis – 65 p. teksto be priedų, 15 iliustr., 7 lent., 97 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Pridedami 5 priedai. Annotation (užsienio k.) This master's thesis explores Bitcoin's price volatility using LSTM, GRU, and CNN based deep learning models. It begins by explaining cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and factors affecting Bitcoin prices, which include supply and demand dynamics, market sentiments, and external influences like media, influencers, regulators, and major events. The study also discusses deep learning applications in the cryptocurrency market, from price forecasting to customer behavior prediction. The research methods used involve collecting and preprocessing cryptocurrency data, integrating deep learning models, comparing their performance, and optimizing the most effective model for accurate price forecasting. The correlation analysis shows strong associations between Bitcoin's price and factors like Market Capitalization, Cost per Transaction, Bitcoin Trading Volume, and Bitcoin Estimated Transaction Volume. The deep learning models are fitted to various versions of the dataset to assess the impact of transformations and preprocessing on performance. The GRU-based model performs better with a VIF multicollinearity threshold of 5, but the other models fit generally improves with a VIF threshold of 10. The LSTM-based model has the lowest RMSE value. However, despite hyperparameter adjustments and retraining, the models' forecasts show frequent error spikes and poor trading simulation performance, indicating unreliability. Performance could potentially be improved by quantifying subjective factors like market sentiments and external influences, but the open system nature of the data poses a limitation. Structure: introduction, theoretical aspects of predicting cryptocurrency market volatility, a sequence of methods, and steps to predict the volatility of cryptocurrencies, results and findings of the research, conclusions and suggestions, references. Thesis consist of: 65 p. text without appendixes, 15 pictures, 7 tables, 97 bibliographical entries. 5 Appendixes included. Keywords: Veiklos svertas; finansinis svertas; kapitalas; struktūra; finansavimo šaltiniai; kapitalo kaštai; finansinės technologijos; įsipareigojimai; mokėjimo įstaiga. Annotation (užsienio k.) Funds assigned for the start of the company activity are referred to as the capital. The structure of the capital of the company depends on the resources of activity financing. Financing resources are possible both from the funds of the founder(-s) of the company and from the borrowed funds. The balance between equity and borrowed capital is very important, because it may affect the continuity of the activity of the company. The borrowed capital is an investment used for the development of the activity. The form of which can be loans or securities. Cost size depends on the structure of the capital. Costs of borrowed capital consist of paid interest for the obligations, different credits and etc. Costs of equity are formed by paid dividends. Measures are applied for the optimal formation of the structure of the capital. One of the main measures are activity and financial leverages. The aim of the study is to assess the impact of the capital structure of electronic payment institutions on capital costs, operating and financial leverage. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to evaluate the individual components of the company's capital, calculate the total cost of the company's capital, since it shows the average risk of all available assets, financial leverage – the ratio of borrowed and equity capital and operating leverage – the ratio of operating expenses and variable income. The value of the price of capital is important because it influences the market price of a company. In practice, it is difficult or even impossible to calculate the cost of capital, since sources of financing have different values. During assessment of type and demand of the investments, it is necessary to take into account the contemporary innovations of financial technologies proposed in the market. It is relevant to use financial technologies to form the structure of the capital. Whereas, it is more flexible and effective method to perform the activity of the company by using contemporary information and communication measures. Keywords: Activity leverage; financial leverage; capital; structure; financing resources; capital costs; financial technologies; responsibilities; payment institution. |

Keywords: Skaitmeniniai sprendimai, tiekimo grandinė, ekspedicinė įmonė, rizikos identifikavimas, rizikos vertinimas Annotation (užsienio k.) The research underlines the transformative potential of digital solutions in supply chain organisations, highlighting their key role in improving process efficiency and companies` competitiveness. The role of a forwarding company is important within the overall supply chain as it is responsible for managing the flow of information. However, as a part of the supply chain network, the forwarding company faces many general supply chain challenges, such as fragmentation, lack of visibility, under utilised resources and costly manual processes. By providing real-time data-driven solutions for freight transport, financial technology (FinTech) has the potential to improve the global competitiveness of the trade and logistics industry. Therefore, the term digital solutions is used in this research as the main term for both digital and FinTech solutions. This research aims to identify and assess the risks of digital solutions for forwarding companies to optimise their processes. A comprehensive analysis reveals the most important digital solutions and associated risks. The survey results of forwarding companies indicate an ongoing implementation of digital solutions, with invoice automation leading the way. A case study using the AHP method identifies a "document flow and management system" as a promising solution, demonstrating significant time and cost savings. Risks analysis based on the results of respondents` responses and a case study of a selected forwarding company shows that "employee resistance to digital technology adoption in logistics" risk has the highest probability and impact score and must be considered when implementing digital solutions. Future research directions include exploring emerging digital and FinTech solutions, analysing the associated benefits and risks, conducting longitudinal studies, and performing comprehensive cost-benefit analyses for implementation in forwarding companies. Keywords: Digital solutions, supply chain, forwarding company, risk identification, risk assessment |

Know your customer), tai leistų jau ankstesniame žingsnyje geriau identifikuoti kliento rizikos lygį. Keywords: Finansinis sukčiavimas, skaitmeninis intelektas, neuroniniai tinklai, Bajeso tinklai, sprendimo medis, XGboost, Catboost. Annotation (užsienio k.) Proactive identification of financial fraud is still one of the hot topics for financial services companies globally, as the result of low success rate of identifying financial fraud. In order to combat the problem of financial fraud, banks and other companies operating in the financial sector are obliged to monitor, evaluate and report suspected illegal activities. The large amount of data related to financial services compliance and the increasing sophistication of criminal methods are forcing financial institutions to constantly look for new tools to help them meet their regulatory obligations. It is also important to mention that there is a general consensus that traditional statistical methods are no longer sufficient and artificial intelligence-based solutions are a way detect and stop financial fraud on time. The aim of the work is to compare the financial benefits of computational intelligence methods in identifying financial fraud. To achieve this goal, the following computational intelligence methods were compared: neural networks, Bayesian networks, decision tree, XGboost, Catboost. After conducting a method evaluation study, the results showed that the methods based on decision tree operation logic gave better results than the methods based on neural network operation. Also, the biggest financial benefit for the company would be to apply the decision tree method in its risk management system. The limitations of this research work are data, adaptation in a changing environment, technical resources. This research could be useful for companies that develop systems to strengthen the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing or tools for monitoring financial transactions. In the continuation of this research, it would be useful to think about the possibility of including more diverse data sources in the data set, such as Know your customer, which would allow to better identify whether the customer is risky or not in the previous step. Keywords: Financial fraud, computational intelligence Neural networks, Bayesian networks, Decision tree, XGboost, Catboost. |

Darbo apimtis: 66 p. teksto be priedų, 34 iliustracijos, 5 lentelės, 63 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Atskirai pridedami darbo priedai. Keywords: finansinis sukčiavimas, finansinio sukčiavimo aptikimas, didžiųjų duomenų analitika, klasifikavimas, klasterių analizė, raktinių žodžių analizė Annotation (užsienio k.) This thesis focuses on detecting and preventing financial fraud by using big data analytics. The work examines classification techniques as a tool for fraud detection as well as cluster and keyword analysis to distinguish specific characteristics attributed to fraudulent behaviour. Specifically, this study focuses on detecting illegitimate transactions using synthetic dataset of almost 1.9 million US transactions spanning from 2019 until the end of 2020 as well as finding key characteristics associated with fraudulent transactions. The authors find that among three classification techniques – Decision Tree. K Nearest Neighbors and Logistic Regression, the K Nearest Neighbors classifier shows the best performance in terms of detecting fraudulent transactions. Using cluster and keyword analysis it is shown that fraudulent transactions can be characterized most commonly by the transaction categories relating to shopping and groceries. We notice that the percentage of fraudulent transactions committed by women is higher than that committed by men. People performing the fraudulent transactions can be split into two age groups - younger group of ages 33, 40 and 41 and the older group between the ages of 58 and 80. Additionally, by using keyword analysis we find that cities located on the east side of the country are most associated with fraud, especially the city of Washington. Structure: introduction, literature review of financial fraud detection by using big data analytics, theoretical framework and design, study execution and results, conclusions, references. Thesis consist of: 66 p. text without appendixes, 34 illustrations, 5 tables, 63 bibliographical entries. Appendixes of the paper are added separately. Tiek ekspertinis vertinimo metodas, tiek EDAS metodas pateikė tuos pačius rezultatus, vertinant FinTech rizikas komerciniuose bankuose. Darbo apimtis – 66 p. teksto be priedų, 10 paveikslų, 7 lentelės, 81 bibliografinis šaltinis. Atskirai pridedami darbo priedai. Keywords: finansinės technologijos, rizika, komerciniai bankai, tikimybė, poveikis. Be to, bibliometrinė analizė naudojama siekiant dar labiau suprasti tyrimų kraštovaizdį. Tyrimo empirine analize nepavyko nustatyti patikimų įrodymų, patvirtinančių tiesioginį tinklo maišos koeficiento, infliacijos, S&P 500 našumo ar aukso kainų įtaką Bitcoin kainų pokyčiams. Be to, Bitcoin vertės panaudojimas kaip blokų grandinės tinklo maišos koeficiento prognozuotojas buvo ribotas. Darbo apimtis – 83p, teksto be priedų, 15 paveikslų, 7 lentelių, 271 bibliografinių šaltinių. Keywords: Bitcoin, hasratas, kriptovaliuta, infliacija, išmanioji sutartis, blokų grandinė, dokumentas, darbo įrodymas, auksas, skaitmeniniai grynieji pinigai, vektorinė automatinė regresija (VAR). Annotation (užsienio k.) The increasing integration of Bitcoin into financial ecosystems has sparked considerable interest among researchers, investors, and asset managers, leading to inquiries about the factors influencing its price Movement. The research aims to empirically examine the impact of network hashrate, inflation, S&P 500, and the gold price on Bitcoin price. Firstly, the study embarked on a rigorous literature review of Bitcoin as a digital currency and the factors that might influence its movement, which led to the development of a conceptual framework. The study uses logical and comparative methods for theoretical analysis, and the empirical part employs a mixed research methodology. The qualitative component utilizes content analysis to explore existing work on the subject matter comprehensively. While, the quantitative aspect involves employing statistical analysis, specifically VAR models, to establish causal relationships. Additionally, bibliometric analysis is utilized to enhance the understanding of the research landscape further. The study's empirical analysis failed to establish robust evidence supporting a direct influence of network hashrate, inflation, S&P 500 performance, or gold prices on Bitcoin's price movements. Similarly, employing Bitcoin's value as a predictor for its blockchain network hashrate showed limited significance. The findings outline the complex nature of Bitcoin's valuation, suggesting that traditional economic indicators may not comprehensively explain its price movement. Structure: Introduction, literature review of bitcoin price determinants, Research Methodology, Research results and discussion, Conclusion, limitation, and recommendation. The thesis comprises 83p, text without appendixes,15 figures, 7 tables, and 271 bibliographical entries. Keywords: Bitcoin, hashrate, cryptocurrency, inflation, smart contract, blockchain, whitepaper, proof of work, gold, digital cash, Vector Autoregression (VAR). |

Magistro baigiamojo darbo tikslas – sukurti naudingą paramos investuotojui sistemą 3 žingsniais: teorine, metodologine ir praktine analize. Pirmiausia palyginamos pagrindinės akcijų savybės ir rinkos bei investuotojų elgsenos teorijos, tuomet akcijų prognozavimo metodai, išskiriamas klasikinis ir modernus požiūris, aptariami portfelio optimizavimo metodai. Antra, iliustruojami moksliniai metodai, programos ir šaltiniai, kurie bus taikomi tiriamojoje dalyje, jie tampa ištekliu ir ateities investavimo sprendimams. Galiausiai praktinėje dalyje įgyvendinama investavimo problemos simuliacija: nustatomi investavimo parametrai, pagal pasirinktą strategiją parenkamos akcijos, jos reitinguojamos daugiakriteriniu metodu PIV, pasitelkiant klasikinius fundamentaliosios ir techninės analizės kriterijus, įskaitant augimą, vertę, momentą ir kitus rodiklius, kurie lemia akcijų vertę ir ateities tendencijas. Ateities grąža prognozuojama 10-čiai geriausių akcijų 1–9 mėnesių laikotarpiui naudojant šiuolaikinį LSTM neuroninį tinklą, pagrįstą sudėtingais algoritmais, kurie prognozuoja pagal istorines akcijų vertes. Konstruojami Markowitz ir Black-Litterman portfeliai, LSTM prognozuota grąža tampa determinantais optimizuojant portfelius - grąža ir investuotojų nuomone. Tuomet palyginami portfeliai ir pagal faktines akcijų kainas nustatomas geriausias portfelis. Remiantis simuliuoto investavimo rezultatais, sukonfigūruojama optimali paramos strategija investuotojui. Struktūra: įvadas, teoriniai akcijų, portfelio optimizavimo ir giliojo mokymosi aspektai, akcijų reitingavimo metodika naudojant multikriterinį modelį, giluminio mokymosi prognozę bei Markowitz ir Black-Litterman portfelio optimizavimą, akcijų rangavimo, prognozavimo bei akcijų portfelio optimizavimo praktika, išvados ir pasiūlymai, literatūros sąrašas. Darbo apimtis – 91 psl. teksto be priedų, 22 iliustr., 8 lent., 152 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. Priedai pridėti. The aim of the Master's degree Thesis is to create a helpful support system for the investor. This is achieved in 3 main steps: theoretical, methodological, and practical analysis. Firstly, the main stock features and market, and investor behaviour theories are compared, then stock prediction methods are analysed, discerned into the classical and the modern approach, and portfolio optimization methods are discussed in the theoretical part. In the methodological part, the scientific methods, programs and sources are illustrated, as they will be applied in the research part, but also they become a resource for the investor to apply to her or his investment problem. Finally, in the practical part, an investment simulation is executed: the investment parameters are set, equity selected based on chosen investment strategy, then stocks are ranked using the multicriteria method PIV, with the criteria of the classical methods of fundamental and technical analysis, including the growth, value, momentum and other indicators, which determine stock value and future trend. The future returns are forecast for the resulting 10 best stocks for the 1-9 month horizon with the modern LSTM deep neural network, based on a complex algorithms which are trained to predict on past stock values. Markowitz and Black-Litterman portfolios are constructed, LSTM prediction becomes the input in returns and investor views, the portfolios are compared, and based on the actual stock prices, the best portfolio is determined. Based on the simulation results the optimal investor support strategy is configured. Structure: introduction, theoretical aspects of equity, portfolio optimization and deep learning, methodology of stock ranking using MCDM, deep learning prediction with LSTM and portfolio optimization with Markowitz and Black-Litterman, practical implementation of stock ranking, prediction, and stock portfolio optimization, conclusions and suggestions, references. Baigiamajame magistro darbe pirmoje dalyje, remiantis moksline literatūra, analizuojami tvarumo dimensijos bei tvaraus investavimo teoriniai aspektai, atliekamas bankinio sektoriaus bei investicinių fondų ypatumų vertinimas ir raida tvarumo kontekste. Pateikiami teoriniai pelningumo bei rizikos nustatymo aspektai, pritaikymo galimybės investicinių fondų vertinimui. Antroje dalyje sudaroma tyrimo metodika. Trečioje darbo dalyje atliekamas mokslinis tyrimas, kurio metu pritaikius CRITIC, EDAS, COPRAS daugiakriterius metodus, geometrinio vidurkio skaičiavimo metodą, vertinami Lietuvos bankiniame sektoriuje prekiaujami investiciniai fondai tvarumo dimensijos kontekste. Darbo apimtis: 97 psl. be priedų, 92 bibliografiniai šaltiniai, 42 lentelės, 44 paveikslai. In the final thesis, the first section involves an analysis of sustainability dimensions and theoretical aspects of sustainable investing based on scientific literature. It includes an evaluation of the peculiarities of the banking sector and investment funds in the context of sustainability. The theoretical aspects of profitability and risk determination are presented, along with the possibilities for their application in the evaluation of investment funds. The second section comprises the development of the research methodology. The third section involves a scientific investigation wherein the sustainability dimensions of investment funds traded in the Lithuanian banking sector are assessed by applying the CRITIC, EDAS, COPRAS multicriteria methods, the geometric mean calculation method, and the formation of investment portfolios using Markowitz's portfolio construction methodology. The obtained results are systematized, and general conclusions are presented. The research outcomes indicate that, when using multicriteria methods, sustainable investment funds traded in the Lithuanian banking sector attain a profitability advantage only in the short term. However, by diversifying investment funds based on Markowitz's portfolio construction methodology, this advantage is achieved in the medium and long term. The results also reveal that investment portfolios composed of sustainable investment funds are considered riskier. The structure of the thesis includes an introduction, theoretical part, methodological section, practical segment, conclusions, bibliography, and appendices. The thesis spans 97 pages excluding appendices, encompasses 92 bibliographic sources, and contains 42 tables and 44 figures. Appendixes included.
