The Department of Economics Engineering was founded after reorganizing departments of the Faculty of Business Management in 2017. The head of the department is prof. dr. Daiva Jurevičienė.
The mission of the department is to carry out research on economic problems at the highest level and prepare highly qualified specialists at the national and international levels.
The aim of the department is to carry out research on economics at the international level and the process of economic studies based on academic values.
The exclusiveness of the department:
Studies. The Department of Economics Engineering prepares economic specialists who are capable to model economic solutions based on effective economic logic and the latest knowledge of economic science, teaches students of non-economic specialties who at the time of studies acquire economic competencies that ensure their ability to compete in the global market.
Science. The Department of Economics Engineering carries out research on economic problems at micro and macro levels, participates in international economic research projects.
Economics Engineering Bachelor students who have chosen specialization in International Economic Relations, have the opportunity to obtain a double degree with Kyungpook National University, South Korea.

For the Economics Engineering, Global Economics specialization master’s degree students: Quantitative and Expert Decision Methods; Research Methodology, Economic Behavior, Advanced Economics; Global Economy (with a course project), Research Practice, Economic Decision Engineering (with a course project), Benchmarking of Regional Economy (with a course project) and etc.
