Research and innovation

Globalization, integration of different cultures and traditions, progress of science and technique justify the necessity of scientific researches as a mean of know-how and understanding the processes of transformation. That’s why the direction of science of Department of Management - the development of modern management concepts, which are dictated by global changes in social, economic and cultural life.

Aims for results

These scientific researches are aimed not only to enrich the knowledge of human and society, but also to create preconditions for innovation, to solve the pressing economic and social problems.
Cooperation between scientists, researchers and practitioners of Department allow to carry out targeted researches using accumulated expertise, thus contributing to the social, economic and cultural development of economics.
Department carries out research and experimental work to improve the business environment and the development of innovations in these main fields of scientific researtches:

Achievements of the Department of Management:

Ilona Skačkauskienė, Neringa Vilkaitė –Vaitonė. The monograph “Paslaugų vartotojų lojalumas” (published in 2017 years) took the second place in the monograph competition organized by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in 2020.
Korsakienė, Renata; Dincer, Hasan; Yüksel, Serhat; Raišienė, Agota Giedrė; Bilan, Yuriy. The scientific publication “Yuriy. IT2 hybrid decisionmaking approach to performance measurement of Internationalized firms in the Baltic states” (Sustainability. Basel : MDPI AG. ISSN 2071-1050. eISSN 2071-1050. 2019, vol. 11, iss. 1, art. no. 296, p. 1-22. DOI: 10.3390/su11010296) took the second place in the competition of the best scientific publications organized by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in 2020 which were published in Clarivate Analytics Web of Science arba Scopus databases refereed publications with a citation index (Q1 and Q2 quartile), in international databases located in scientific journals published articles, in 2019 years.

The project was assessed as eligible for funding, but was placed on the reserve list according to the number of points.
