Specialization: International Economic Relations
Studying in this study program and choosing an International Economic Relations specialization, is possible to obtain a double degree in VGTU Economics Engineering and Kyungpook National University in South Korea. What do you think is the economy? It is all that surrounds us: what we eat, how do we look, where we work, what we are doing. This is a daily human activity. We are facing the economy almost everywhere and in all spheres of life: working and resting, studying and holidays, feeling good or feeling bad. The knowledge of the economy helps us to understand the world, where we live, and how works laws: what determines the price of goods and services, why the average living standard in one country is higher than in others, why social exclusion increases or decreases. Economics is the science of using rare or limited resources for products and services to produce and distribute a variety of goods in order to satisfy the needs of people who are essentially unlimited. The economy is exploring the interaction and behavior of economic entities separately and the whole economy as a whole but is inseparable from the application of mathematics and new technologies. The program is focused on preparing professionals who are able to integrate and apply complexly the knowledge of economic theories, management of economic processes, and economic engineering, covering both the economy and other fields of social life, science, and technology progress; characterized with bright inter-directional and inter-discipline competencies, which enable to use integrally advanced achievements of engineering sciences for the economic knowledge and solution of economic problems and to assess adequately the technological, ecological, social, cultural and other circumstances resident in modern economic development. Students have an opportunity to take an internship in international and foreign capital companies located in Vilnius. Graduates can participate in an extra internship (after graduation) according to the Erasmus+ program in a European country. Graduates can continue their studies with a master's degree.
Specialization: Economic Data Analytics
The need for economic data analysts is present in all regions of Lithuania: more than 200 job offers from the public sector, business enterprises, and international companies. The proposed salary is 1800 - 2300 euros. Economic data analysts study economic data sets to identify trends and draw conclusions; collect large amounts of data, process and analyze them to identify appropriate models; try to present conclusions using data visualization methods; turn complex insights into a language understood by the business.
The study program also provides for two internships - cognitive and professional. Internships can be performed in Lithuanian business enterprises, international companies, and organizations. A successful internship allows you to prepare to write a thesis, to choose a future career in a targeted manner.
Graduates of Economic Engineering can take part in an additional internship (after graduation) under the Erasmus + program in a European country. Graduates can also continue their studies and obtain a master’s degree.

Economics Engineering studies are designed to prepare for a broad range of economic and management activities of today's globalized economics new demands and challenges. Students will acquire comprehensive knowledge in economics and risk engineering, will learn to solve various risk assessment and management-related problems. This study program was Ranked among the world's TOP 201-250 universities in Economics and Econometrics by „QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021“.
Internationally recognized degree. Students learn collaboration through group work and real-world problem-solving. Students are trained to work in international companies, foreign capital companies, and foreign trade. Graduates can participate in an extra internship (after graduation) according to the Erasmus+ program in a European country. Graduates can continue their studies in a doctoral program in English.
