NCPC 2025 quarterfinal
VILNIUS TECH FMF students participated in the quarterfinal stage of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) – the Nordic Collegiate Programming Contest (NCPC).
This year, the competition brought together 160 official university teams from seven Northern European countries – Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
The team “VILNIUS TECH 1,” consisting of second-year Information Technology foreign student Gleb Kasachou, fourth-year Software Engineering student Ernestas Granauskas, and third-year Software Engineering student Džiugas Maceikonis, solved five problems and ranked 49th, improving last year’s result. This is an excellent step forward and yet another proof that our students’ programming skills are rapidly advancing.
The second-best performing team – “VILNIUS TECH 2” – included third-year Information Technology student Aleksandr Vanslov, second-year Information Technology student Linas Puplauskas, and first-year Software Engineering student Titas Bojarunas. They solved five problems and placed 74th.
“The ICPC semifinal will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany. We are glad that our university will be represented by teams capable of solving high-level algorithmic challenges, working effectively as a team, and ready to continue improving their skills,” shared one of the coaches.
