On November 5, Dr. Rafael Ball, Director of the ETH Zurich University Library, visited the VILNIUS TECH Library. Currently, Dr. R. Ball is conducting research examining how university libraries in the Baltic countries contribute to the digitalization of their universities and the public sector. The researcher is interested in both technological solutions and the role of libraries in national digitalization processes, as well as in the broader context of digital transformation.

During the visit, various activities of the VILNIUS TECH Library were presented – ranging from the acquisition of information resources and user services available both on-site and virtually 24/7, to scholarly communication, publishing processes, and information dissemination within the academic community. Insights on library digitalization processes were also shared, along with discussions on their development directions and emerging challenges.
