We invite you to visit the photography exhibition "Moments of Light Years" by Dr. Juliana Smirnova, the Vice Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Business Management, VILNIUS TECH. You will find the exhibition in Gallery A (on the second floor, Saulėtekio al. 14,) at the VILNIUS TECH Library.

The essential photography themes of the exhibition's author, Juliana Smirnova, include landscapes, city highlights, and people amidst urban/natural surroundings. The works explore the theme of parallels - the modern person's relationship with their environment, their ability to sense and comprehend the grandeur of nature's creations within the context of constant haste. The author consciously does not provide titles for the photographs, as different experiences of the exhibition visitors lead to various interpretations of the captured images.
 

The exhibition "Moments of Light Years" is Juliana Smirnova's third personal photography exhibition. A light-year typically describes the distance light travels in one year. The images presented in the exhibition are in one way or another related to sunlight and its "momentary" reflection, comparing the moment of the captured scene to the light's journey over light-years to the observer. Through this exhibition, the author hopes to encourage visitors to notice the fragile charm of a moment in simple things that we often overlook as we get caught up in the whirlwind of increasing speed.


The exhibition in Gallery A will be open until August 2.
