DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS
VILNIUS TECH conducts doctoral studies in the fields of art, informatics, management, economics, electrical and electronic engineering, civil engineering, transport engineering, environmental engineering, computer science, materials engineering, and mechanical engineering. Doctoral studies are followed by a final thesis – a doctoral dissertation. This publication consists of the dissertation text and an abstract.
VILNIUS TECH Book publishing department checks the text of the dissertation and the summary for plagiarism. VILNIUS TECH Book publishing department informs the VILNIUS TECH Department of Doctoral Studies about the results if the similarity index exceeds 30% or the similarity score with another source exceeds 10%.
The publishing process starts after the VILNIUS TECH Rector signs the order approving the defence of the dissertation. The dissertation is formatted and printed as a book (A5 + format, edition of 20 copies) (except the cases where the doctoral dissertation is submitted as a monograph or as a collection of articles) according to the dissertation layout template prepared by VILNIUS TECH. By logging into the VILNIUS TECH institutional repository, you will find templates in Lithuanian and English (accessible to members of the VILNIUS TECH community who have logged into the repository. Important! The dissertation shall be submitted to the libraries of the joint doctoral research institutions at least 30 calendar days before the defence of the dissertation, and one copy of the dissertation shall be submitted to the members of the Defence Board.
