The 2nd International Scientific Symposium on Methodological-Didactical Issues of Contemporary Business Management is organized by the Faculty of Business Management of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and the Department of Strategic Analysis of Cracow University of Economics on September 13-14 in Druskininkai.
The scientific Symposium is supplemented with didactical issues and consists of two parts. The first part of the Symposium deals with theoretical and methodological issues related to the problems of management sciences. During this part the selected research problems being the subject of scientific research conducted in Departments will be presented and discussed.
The second part is devoted to the current didactic challenges, during which the employees of the Departments will present their own experiences, problems and directions of improving the didactic process as part of their study programs. This will allow the exchange of experiences not only concerning the content or methods of education, but also the methods of verification and assessment of the learning outcomes achieved by students. The discussion will also focus on ways to monitor the students’ progress in the learning process and to assess the students’ achievement of the assumed learning outcomes. Moreover, the discussion will cover the national requirements for accredited courses regarding the improvement of the quality of education and the development of a quality culture at Polish and Lithuanian universities. At the same time, on the second day, a study visit to the Faculty of Management in Vilnius is planned, during which the employees will have the opportunity to learn about the teaching methods used in VGTU.
The initial program of the Symposium assumes organizing on the first day of the symposium three thematic panels and roundtable discussions concerning:
