VILNIUS TECH is strengthening its position in international research projects funded by Horizon Europe by continuing its membership in the international network "Crowdhelix". This international collaboration and open innovation platform connects representatives of the science and industry ecosystem – universities, industry leaders, and small innovation-driven businesses – and helps them find international partners for joint science and innovation activities, strengthen competencies to efficiently organize project activities, and foster sustainable collaboration among scientific representatives by sharing best practices.
 

The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility under the "New Generation Lithuania" plan and by the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania.
 

Established more than a decade ago, the international network "Crowdhelix" currently connects over 20,000 scientists, business and public sector representatives, and experts, as well as more than 500 institutions worldwide from Europe, Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, and certain African countries. The thematic networks initiated by the platform help form consortia based on research topics and attract international funding, with a primary focus in recent years on the European Union (EU) research and innovation program "Horizon Europe". The research topics cover all clusters of the Horizon Europe work program and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration as well as the integration of social sciences and humanities into projects.
 

VILNIUS TECH researchers participate in "Crowdhelix" consortium building activities, seminars, and joint research activities. Connections established between researchers, both in their own fields and in interdisciplinary areas, evolve into sustainable concepts for international projects and long-term cooperation between prestigious institutions. VILNIUS TECH researchers are actively participating in consortia formed during the network's international meetings and have already submitted an application for the "Horizon Europe" Autumn 2025 call period.
 

Membership in the international "Crowdhelix" network also provides VILNIUS TECH researchers with access to the latest information on current international research project experiences and training materials, as well as the opportunity to participate in over 50 events per year aimed at strengthening competencies and networking.
 

Vilnius Gediminas Technical University's (VILNIUS TECH) membership and participation in network activities are carried out through the implementation of the project "Participation in international network project activities within the 'Crowdhelix' international network" (Project No. S-NET-25-19). The project duration is from January 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.
