Research activitiesAt Vilnius tech we align with the aims and objectives of the European Research Area, which takes a multidisciplinarity approach to scientific research. Thus, our main research areas integrate electronics, IT, transport and social sciences. Currently, about 40 percent of the university’s income is derived from the scientific services that we provide.
Our participation in national and international projects and collaboration with business sector, means that we are able to establish close ties with research institutions and the business sector. The University is involved in several international technology networks and organizations, which enhances our standing as a state-of-the-art research institution. Each year we organize more than 30 scientific national and international conferences. We also publish 15 scientific journals, 9 of them are refered in Clarivate Analytics Web of Science, 12 – in SCOPUS databases. | Progress and experienceInternational research projects being conducted at Vilnius tech are especially significant for the University. Whilst the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation remains our priority, our scientists also manage projects that are important for the region and supported by the European Regional Development Fund (Baltic Sea Region programme). In addition, promoting advanced technologies remains the focus of the Intelligent Energy Europe projects (IEE).
