WHO WE ARE

Vilnius Gediminas technical university (VILNIUS TECH) is an innovative Lithuanian university that prepares creative and highly qualified specialists. The university is a leader in the field of technological sciences with modern and labour market-oriented approach to studies. Scientific research and experimantal development projects are carried out in 13 institutes, 3 scientific centers. 22 research laboratories. 
History

FACTS AND FIGURES

Studies and students

More than 8,4 thousand students;
More than 8,8 thousand graduates;
1st level and integrated degree studies‘ students – 6,5 thousand; 2nd level – 1,7 thousand;
3rd level – 0,2 thousand;
Between year 2020 and 2021 foreign students from 77 countries accounted for 15,1% of all students;
41% of all study programmes are conducted in English.

Science and innovation

Commercial research output of 4,3 million Eur;
Articles for Clarivate Analytics Web of Science database journals – 532;
Articles for Scopus database publications – 543;
Doctoral studies are carried out in 11 + 1 scientific fields;
Six scientific monographs have been published, one of which was featured in the prestigious scientific publishing house Springer;
Dr. Vitalij Kolodynskij – the winner of the „Best dissertations of 2020“ competition organized by The Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers;

Resources and administration

1563 employees work at the university;
930 lecturers, scientists and researchers;
75%  of the academic personnel possess a degree in science;
The total area of all VILNIUS TECH buildings is 132,44 thousand m2;
