Information for students who want to apply for erasmus+ studies

APPLICATION PERIOD IS CURRENTLY CLOSED
 
In the frames of the Erasmus+ programme all VILNIUS TECH students may have study exchange in one of VILNIUS TECH partner institutions of higher education in one of the programme countries.
 
Selection for Erasmus+  studies is held two times a year: 
•    in February–March for next academic year autumn or spring semester optionally.
•    in September–October for exchange in the current academic year spring semester;

The same student may participate in mobility periods totaling up to 12 months per cycle of study (bachelor, master, and PhD studies). The minimum duration of the Erasmus+ studies is 1 semester (3-6 months).


Information for students who want to apply for erasmus+ studies:
 
1.    Each faculty of VILNIUS TECH has its own partner list. You can choose up to 3 partner institutions;
2.    Before you fill the application you must find out the offered courses (and credits) at partner`s home website and have a consultation with your Faculty Erasmus+ Coordinator about the suitability of courses to your study programme;
3.    When the courses at the receiving institution are discussed with your Faculty Erasmus+ coordinator;
4.    Bachelor and Master students have to fill and submit the online application form at mano.vilniustech.lt > Apply for Erasmus+ studies. PhD students have to fill the form, sign it and send a scanned version to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZndHUubHQiPm91dGdvaW5nQHY8L2E+:xxcrypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZpbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0Ij5pbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0PC9hPg==:xx;
5.    Erasmus+ Student Charter highlights your rights and obligations and tells you what you can expect from your sending and receiving organisations at each step of your Erasmus+ experience.
BEFORE MOBILITY
 
Students who have been selected for Erasmus+ studies must: 
•    send the Letter of Acceptance/Invitation from the host university to crypt:b3V0Z29pbmdAdmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQ=:xx;
•    Take an OLS language test (online);
•    send filled and signed Learning Agreement (Double-degree students must fill this Learning Agreement form);
•    Fill the Request to continue studies abroad in mano.vilniustech.lt platform;
•    Get insurance (travel, health, accidents);
•    Sign Financial Agreement.

DURING MOBILITY

If there is a need, you will be able to change the courses in the first 30 days of your Erasmus+ studies. 
Change your learning agreement by filling in CHANGES TO THE ORIGINAL LEARNING AGREEMENT. This can be done only after you have achieved permission of your faculty Erasmus+ coordinator to change the Learning Agreement. After everything is done, the final version of Learning Agreement changes must be sent to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZndHUubHQiPm91dGdvaW5nQHY8L2E+:xxcrypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOm91dGdvaW5nQHZpbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0Ij5pbG5pdXN0ZWNoLmx0PC9hPg==:xx as well.

If you would like to extend your study period in receiving organization for one more semester, you have to do this not later than 1 month before the end of your first study semester abroad.

It is possible to apply for the extension only for the spring semester. 
 
AFTER MOBILITY 

There are 4 main steps/documents you will have to provide for the International Relation Office after the official end of your Erasmus+ studies:
•    The hard copy of the Certificate;
•    The copy of the Transcript of Records;
•    Language test (online, log in to OLS again);
•    European Commission's survey (online, sent to your e-mail on the last day of your studies exchange).
•    Fill Short-term study report and send it signed to crypt:b3V0Z29pbmdAdmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQ=:xx with your chosen type of report.
•    Do not forget to fill the request to continue studies at VILNIUS TECH once you return from mobility. You can do that by using mano.vilniustech platform (My documents/ Requests/ Applications for Rector/ for permission to continue studies after returning from another institution).
 
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT

After you fill all the necessary documents you will receive an Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to your subsistence costs.

Students, who signed the Financial Agreement, are receiving the scholarship in two stages:

80% of the scholarship is being transferred before Erasmus+ studies start;
20% of the scholarship is being transferred after return when the student fulfills all the required documents

FOR STUDENTS WITH DISADVANTAGE BACKGROUND

VILNIUS TECH students with disadvantaged background are able to receive an additional social scholarship (plus 200 Eur/month).
Students must submit a document issued by responsible authorities which includes information that student receives social support It also has to include the time period for which student receives financial support and it has to overlap with Erasmus study period.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
 
Erasmus+ internship is a traineeship (work placement, internship) abroad in any organisation of the Erasmus+ programme country.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION

You may apply for an Erasmus+ internship abroad if:
· you are a degree seeking VILNIUS TECH student; 
· you (will) have a positive evaluation of exams when leaving for an internship; 
· you have financial capacities to carry out an internship abroad; 
· you desire international work experience! 
There may be exceptions at the faculty level, please ask your Erasmus+ Faculty coordinator. 

The internship should last 2 months or longer. One student can study and do an internship abroad with Erasmus+ scholarship in one study level altogether 12 months maximum. 

You can carry out an internship in any legal entity (except EU institutions and bodies), registered in any EU country as well as Norway, Iceland, Serbia, Turkey, North Macedonia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Liechtenstein. 

Application for Erasmus+ scholarship for an internship is open all year long! But you must apply the latest 1 month before the start of your internship or ask for an exception. 

Erasmus+ Internship can be either embedded in your curriculum (part of your study programme), voluntary, or after graduation. 

Recent graduates can go to Erasmus+ internship within one year after graduation. But plan ahead! To apply for an internship after graduation you must first apply to the reserve list while you're still registered as a student at VILNIUS TECH!

BEFORE INTERNSHIP

1. Find a company

To find a company is the biggest challenge during the whole Erasmus+ internship experience, but we are sure you will be lucky!

2. Apply for an internship

Please apply at least one month before your internship starts! To apply:
•    Fill an online form;
•    Submit signed Learning Agreement*, your CV and motivation letter per e-mail to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOmludGVybnNoaXBAdmd0dS5sdCI+aW50ZXJuc2hpcEB2PC9hPg==:xxcrypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOmludGVybnNoaXBAdmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQiPmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQ8L2E+:xx;

3. Just before your internship

When you are nominated for the Erasmus+ scholarship, you will also have to:
•    Complete a short online language test. Link for the test will be sent via e-mail;
•    Get insurance (health, accidents, liability);
•    Submit the request to carry out an internship in an organisation abroad at mano.vilniustech.lt (Bachelor and Master students); PhD students must submit the request for internship directly to the Doctoral School;
•    Sign a financial agreement. Draft version will be sent via e-mail.
 
DURING INTERNSHIP

When carrying out an internship you have certain obligations but it does not mean they cannot be changed. Changes are possible with proper documentation. Please send the signed “Exceptional changes” document to crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOmludGVybnNoaXBAdmd0dS5sdCI+aW50ZXJuc2hpcEB2PC9hPg==:xxcrypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOmludGVybnNoaXBAdmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQiPmlsbml1c3RlY2gubHQ8L2E+:xx.
 
AFTER INTERNSHIP

Congratulations on finishing your internship! We hope you thanked the hosting company for their efforts to teach you.  
When back home you will have to deliver (templates mano.vilniustech.lt -> International opportunities -> Erasmus+ internship):
•    traineeship certificate (2 originals);
•    final report;
•    complete the second language test (online, log in to OLS again);
•    European Commission's survey (online, it will be sent to your e-mail on the last day of your internship);
•    request via mano.vilniustech.lt to resume studies at VILNIUS TECH;
•    take care of approving your internship at VILNIUS TECH.

ADDITIONAL FUNDING IS AVAILABLE

- for students with special needs;
- for students from socially disadvantaged groups (Internship is paid according to the STUDY scholarship + 200 EUR)
 
INTERNSHIP AFTER GRADUATION

If you would like to go on an internship after graduation you must apply for a reserve list before graduation!  Please note that only those graduates who apply for Reserve list while being students (before graduation) are entitled to apply for Erasmus+ internship abroad after graduation! 

To apply for the Reserve list:
1.    Fill an online form;
2.    Download the application form, fill it with a computer, sign, and scan;
3.    Add your CV and motivation letter for the company (in English);
