USEFUL LINKS

How to identify a predatory journal
Evaluate the credibility and recognition of the publisher in the international space. Check out whether the journal is indexed in the Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics) and / or Scopus. Magazines of this type often indicate that they are indexed in various databases and have a citation index, which is in fact a pseudo-index. This often misleads the author who wants to publish in highly ranked journals quoting indexes. Examples of pseudo-indexes: Advanced Science Index, General Impact Factor, Global Impact Factor, Journal Impact Factor, Scientific Journal Impact Factor.
Possible signs of a predatory magazine:
  • The real title and ISSN is used in predatory journal website;
  • Urgent article acceptance;
  • Quick review process;
  • The journal does not identify a formal editorial/review board, address of location;
  • Not active links in the website;
On the real magazine site, you can find information about an existing version of the predatory magazine.
