How To Apply?

Here are the main steps for applying to studies at VILNIUS TECH and completing the application online.

Complete an application form

The candidate completes an application form in the application system.

Pay application fee

Pays 100 EUR Application fee using the invoice issued by the application system. the fee must be paid until the invoice deadline but no later than application deadline.

Record an interview

The International Studies Centre invites you to record an interview via the application system. You must complete the interview in 5 days at a convenient time. Our faculty reviews the interview recording.

The International Studies Centre reviews your education documents

The International Studies Centre reviews your education documents for qualification recognition purposes and if necessary consults with ENIC-NARIC centre in Lithuania. If necessary the International Studies Centre can ask for additional documents or confirmations about your previous education.

Wait for an official letter

The International Studies Centre sends you an official letter of Conditional Acceptance confirming your admission to the study programme of your choice.

Pay the tuition and registration fee

After receiving the official Conditional Acceptance letter, you pay the tuition and registration fee for your first year of studies.

Wait for a student mediation letter number

After receiving your fee, the International Studies Centre uploads documents necessary for the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) application to the MIGRIS system and sends you a student mediation letter number.

Apply for TRP

After receiving the mediation letter number, the student applies for TRP at the VFS Global from the list.

The Migration department initiates the procedure

The Migration department initiates the TRP issue procedure.

Legalize your Police Clearance Certificate and educational documents

Before you apply for TRP you need to legalize your Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) or sometimes called Non-Conviction Certificate and educational documents.

Your documents must be:

  • Legalized by a consular office and second legalization in Lithuania – if they were issued in a country not part of the 1961 Hague Convention.
  • Certified with an Apostille – if they were issued in a country that is part of the 1961 Hague Convention.

If you’re unsure which rule applies to your country, please check your country’s status regarding the Hague Convention.

Collect your TRP card

Once your TRP card is ready, you can collect it from the same VFS Global centre where you submitted your application. (The TRP process can take up to 3 months).

All of the Following Are Required for Processing

Documents needed after acceptance

  • Certificate from a foreign bank and notarized letter of guarantee from parents / sponsors along with a document about their financial abilities (VFS Global)
    Minimum 7500 EUR per year
  • Non conviction / Police Clearance certificate from countries of residence in last two years (needed for TRP application)
    Duly double legalized or legalized with an Apostille.
  • Minor students (under age of 18) must bring notarized Letter of Authorization / Permission / Affidavit from their parents / legal guardians:
    • To sign a contract for studies with university;
    • To sign a contract with dormitory;
    • To open a bank in Lithuania;
    • To apply for Temporary Residence Permit in Lithuania.
Note: Legalized and notarized English translation are required for all Education documents if they were not issued in English.
