Admission to Doctoral Studies in Informatics and Informatics Engineering Science Fields 2026
Admission to the Doctoral Studies in Informatics and Informatics Engineering will be conducted in 2026, in accordance with the procedure established in the 2026 Regulations of Admission to Third Cycle Studies at Kaunas University of Technology.

Submission of documents for the recognition of qualification(s) obtained abroad in Lithuania (applicable for those applicants who have obtained their education in a foreign higher education institution and do not have a document confirming the recognition of their diploma in Lithuania) 1–15 April 2026 (until 17:00 2. Submission, registration and administrative verification of admission documents 8–19 June 2026 (until 15:00) 3. Revision of admission documents after administrative verification Until 22 June 2026, 14:00 4. Application Documents
Applicants to Informatics and Informatics Engineering science fields doctoral programs should submit all the application documents to VILNIUS TECH Doctoral School:
- An application.
- Copies of the Master’s or equivalent qualification diploma(s) with diploma supplement(s).
- A certificate of academic qualification recognition in the Republic of Lithuania.
- A curriculum vitae.
- Recommendations by two scientists of the relevant science field; one of these recommendations must be by a supervisor of the topic to which the applicant is applying.
- A research proposal on the selected topic (if required; see Appendix 2 to the Regulations).
- A list of scientific works (articles in scientific publications and conference proceedings) and their copies (see Appendix 2 to the Regulations).
- A research paper (applying to Informatics (N 009) science field only if scientific publications are not provided).
- A copy of a valid personal document: a passport (for the citizens of all countries) or an ID card (applicable only for the citizens of the European Union countries).
- A copy of the receipt of the application fee payment.
- A certificate issued by CEFR, IELTS, TOEFL or any other competent institution (see article 8.9 of the Regulations).
- A confirmation of a passed mathematics examination OMPT-D test (see article 8.10 of the Regulations).
- Concent for processing personal data.

Certificate for Recognition of Academic Qualification
Those applicants who have obtained their education abroad must enclose a certificate of academic qualification recognition in the Republic of Lithuania.
Iif this document is not submitted, the applicant’s application will not be considered.
For recognition of academic qualifications, obtained abroad, an applicant should submit the following documents to the VILNIUS TECH Doctoral School by e-mail doctor@vilniustech.lt:
- A high-quality copies of Bachelor degree diploma and its supplement;
- A high-quality copies of Master’s degree diploma and its supplements;
- A copy of a passport;
- Consent for processing personal data
