Institute of Applied Computer Science

Institute of Applied Computer Science

The Institute conducts fundamental and applied research in the priority field of Information and Communication Technologies at VILNIUS TECH, aligned with Lithuania’s smart specialisation in Transport, Logistics, and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Scientific knowledge, practical experience, and technical infrastructure are used to train researchers in the fields of Informatics Engineering (T007) and Informatics (N009). The Institute maintains IT infrastructure required for information and cybersecurity, as well as for fundamental research on materials and processes, using parallel computing architectures and cloud computing.

The Institute operates the Information Technology Security and High-Performance Computing laboratories.
