For Students with Individual Needs
What are Individual Needs?
Students with individual needs are those with long-term health conditions that can be attributed to one of the following groups:

Sensory impairments (vision, hearing, etc.)

Mobility impairments

Specific learning difficulties (dyslexia, dyscalculia, etc.)

Psychosocial disabilities
-
Autism spectrum disorders
-
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder

Anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges
-
Chronic conditions (diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc.)
How to obtain individual study adjustments
To obtain individual study adjustments, it is necessary to submit documentation that confirms a disability or health condition.
Contact the Individual Needs Coordinator and submit the required documents
The coordinator provides information, offers confidential advice, and drafts recommendations for study adjustments.

A certificate from the Disability and Working Capacity Assessment Service

A medical extract from a healthcare institution

A conclusion provided by a Psychological-Pedagogical Service
If you feel that you have health problems but do not have a confirmed diagnosis, you can contact the Individual Needs Coordinator (migle.rudyte@vilniustech.lt) for advice on where to apply.

Financial Support for Students with Disabilities

Exemption from Loan Repayment
Loan recipients may be exempted from repayment if they are determined to have a working capacity level of 45% or lower in accordance with legal procedures. -
European Social Fund Financial Support
This support is provided to students across all Lithuanian higher education institutions. Targeted grants of 152 euros per month are allocated on a per-semester basis. -
Government of the Republic of Lithuania Financial Support
Assistance is available for students with disabilities to cover tuition costs and address special educational needs.

Additional Support for Erasmus+ Participants
Support for Students with Fewer Opportunities
VILNIUS TECH students with fewer opportunities are eligible for an additional 250 EUR/month on top of their mobility grant to help cover living expenses.
Individual Disability Grant
A supplementary individual grant is awarded to students with physical, mental, or other disabilities.
