VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Architecture kindly invites to the Open lecture “Signage and Wayfinding: Guiding People Through Architecture and Landscape” by Assoc Prof Dr Gustavo Curcio  (Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo e de Design da Universidade de São Paulo – Brasil) on 27 March 10:30 at auditorium 3.10 (Trakų g. 1, Vilnius).

Assoc Prof Dr Gustavo Curcio Architect (2006), Master (2009) and PhD (2015) in Design and Architecture, Gustavo Curcio holds a post-doctoral degree (2025) in Visual Programming from FAUUSP and has over 20 years of experience in editorial work, visual programming, art direction, photography direction, and copywriting/advertising. He conducts research at the undergraduate and graduate levels at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism and Design of the University of São Paulo in the areas of Design and Visual Project, Interior Design, and Signage Design. He holds a post-doctoral degree in Design and Architecture from FAUUSP.

A professor and researcher in the Design Department at FAUUSP. He has worked as a graphic designer, art editor, photography editor, art director, and copywriter at Editora Abril, RMC Editora (branded content), Magu Comunicação Integrada, and Content XP Comunicação. He developed the graphic and editorial projects for the Diário de São Paulo newspaper (2011), the São Paulo State Government Yearbook (2010), AnaMaria and Minha Casa magazines (2004 to 2010), Avon Cosmetics, Scania Latin America, SAAB, and Toyota. He developed packaging projects for Fischer Brasil (a German multinational). Gustavo Curcio was the editor-in-chief and chairs the editorial board of the Arquitetura e Urbanismo (ISSN 0102-8979) and Téchne (ISSN 0104-1053) magazines.

He directs the scientific council of ArqXP | Innovative Experiences in Construction. A president of the National and International Cooperation Commission (CCNInt) of FAUUSP. A vice-coordinator of LabImagem (Image Laboratory) and LabIndus (Industrialization Laboratory), both at FAUUSP. He is a member of GENN, the New Narratives Study Group, at ECAUSP. A member of the Editorial Team of the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI).He was vice-president of the Graduation Committee (CG) of FAUUSP (2022-2023).
