All VILNIUS TECH students, except first-year students, can participate in the programme. Students has the opportunity to spend at least two months studying at another European higher education institution during the autumn or spring semester.
The total mobility period cannot exceed 12 months per study cycle (or 24 months for integrated study programmes).

- Travel distance means the distance between the place of origin (the place where the institution is located and the place of activity), and "amount" means the funds allocated to cover the costs of travel to and from the place of activity. Check the distance here.
- Green travel this is a trip that uses low-emission vehicles, such as buses, trains, or trips with fellow travellers using the same vehicle.
- Group 1: Ireland, Denmark, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Faroe Islands, Switzerland, UK €674 per month
- Group 2: Austria, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, France, Germany €674 per month
- Group 3: Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Czechia, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Türkiye, Hungary, Serbia €606 per month
The scholarship partially covers travel, insurance, and visa costs, so it is recommended to have an additional source of funding to cover living expenses in the host country. The scholarship is paid in two instalments: 80% (upon submission of all documents before departure) and 20% (upon submission of all necessary documents after Erasmus+ studies). During Erasmus+ studies, the payment of other types of scholarships and/or loans is not interrupted.
1. Additional financial support may be available for disadvantaged individuals who belong to the vulnerable groups in the community may be eligible for additional financial support.
- for long-term mobility €250 per month
- for short-term mobility of 5–14 days €100
- for short-term mobility of 15–30 days €150
2. Additional financial support for green travel
Students who choose green travel options—such as train, bus, or carpooling—may incur higher travel costs compared to air travel, depending on the distance. To encourage sustainable mobility, additional financial support is available for those opting for eco-friendly transportation.
3. Individual grant based on actual costs spend
Support for special needs may be granted to students who have already been awarded an Erasmus+ mobility grant to cover the following expenses:
- Measures and/or services, depending on special needs, the nature of the illness/disability. The need for these expenses must be justified by medical documents, i.e., the need for the aids and/or services for which you are requesting additional support must be confirmed by a medical document issued by a doctor. It should be noted that the latter document must clearly indicate what specific services you will need during your studies or internship abroad, and how many of them. Support will be provided to cover the actual costs incurred.
- To cover the living and travel costs of an accompanying person, if justified.
For an individual grant based on actual expenses incurred, you should contact the Educational Exchange Support Fund by e-mail at: HEKA1papildomadotacija@smpf.lt.
Changes are allowed within 1 month of arrival and must be coordinated with your faculty Erasmus+ coordinator and the host university via Mobility Online – DLA Changes.
Students must upload the following documents via Mobility Online:
- Certificate of Attendance confirming the study period;
- Transcript of Records with academic results;
- EU Survey (online questionnaire);
- Share your experience with the VILNIUS TECH community.
