Presentation of the JoVE video platform to the VILNIUS TECH community
On March 24, a seminar “Using JoVE for Research and Education” took place at the Sustainability Center of VILNIUS TECH. The event was intended for lecturers, researchers, and laboratory staff.
During the seminar, Azgi Almamedova, Catalina Dragoi, and Mike Carroll presented the capabilities of the international scientific video platform JoVE and its application in both studies and research. The representatives of JoVE demonstrated how the platform’s content can be effectively integrated into the virtual learning environment Moodle and adapted to specific study subjects. Participants’ questions were also addressed, and practical use cases were discussed.
JoVE is a university subscribed video platform that is actively used and appreciated by students. It offers videos of laboratory experiments across various scientific fields, including physics, natural sciences, medicine, engineering, statistics, and environmental science. The videos are accompanied by journal articles and textual materials. The journal content is carefully curated by editors and experts, and all JoVE articles are indexed in major scientific databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE, Web of Science, Scopus, and others.
We would like to remind you that free access to the JoVE video platform (www.jove.com), subscribed by VILNIUS TECH, is available from VILNIUS TECH computer network or via VPN.
