University-published books on the humanities and creative thought

In the VILNIUS TECH READS | Leisure section, we invite readers to turn their attention to the humanities—a field that fosters a deeper understanding of the human being, creativity, modes of thinking, and the relationship with the surrounding environment. The selected publications examine cultural, aesthetic, philosophical, and psychological phenomena, revealing how meanings, ideas, and creative practices are shaped in contemporary society.

These books are intended for those who are interested not only in how we create, but also in why we create. They are relevant to students, researchers, creative practitioners, and all who take an interest in visual culture, theories of architecture and design, communication, language, and creative processes. The publications address topics such as the boundaries of aesthetics and their transformation, the experience and psychology of space, the philosophical foundations of communication, forms of creative expression, and the cultural contexts that shape contemporary artistic and intellectual thought.

All publications have been issued by VILNIUS TECH and are available free of charge to the university community. The books can be accessed in electronic format or borrowed in printed form. Printed books may be borrowed via the VILNIUS TECH Virtual Library. Upon receiving a notification that the requested items are ready for collection, readers are invited to pick them up at the indicated location: the Central Library (ground-floor lobby) or the faculty reading room. Access to full-text electronic books is available only through the VILNIUS TECH computer network.
