VILNIUS TECH Participated in the Vilnius Book Fair at LITEXPO
From February 26 to March 1, the 26th International Vilnius Book Fair took place at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO. It is the largest literary event in the Baltic States. This year’s theme, „The word in search of human,“ reminds us that a word is truly alive only when it is discovered by a person.
At the VILNIUS TECH stand (3.02), located in the academic publishers’ area of the Vilnius Book Fair, visitors could find the newest publications released by VILNIUS TECH: Indrė Lapinskaitė’s textbook „Darnaus vystymosi atskaitomybė. Įmonių darnios veiklos anatomija ir rezultatų vertinimas“, the monograph „ARTS OF CREATIVE COMMUNICATION“ by Algis Mickūnas, Eric Mark Kramer, Olga Lyanda-Geller, Rekha Menon, David S. Worth, Ryan Senator, Vladimir Marchenkov, Naglis Kardelis, and Žilvinas Svigaris, and Tomas Mitkus’s monograph „Aseksualaus nuogumo, erotikos ir pornografijos estetika 2D animacijoje“.
Visitors could also discover the books by the winners of last year’s university competition for the best textbooks: „Įtaigi viešoji komunikacija“ by Vida Navickienė, Živilė Sederevičiūtė-Pačiauskienė, Angelė Tamulevičiūtė-Šekštelienė, and Aušra Žemienė, as well as „Termodinaminė analizė pastatų techninėms sistemoms“ by Vytautas Martinaitis, Giedrė Streckienė, and Juozas Bielskus.
The fair visitors were also introduced to a new monograph published by VILNIUS TECH: „Gedimino miestas ir jo kalnas“ by Algimantas Grigelis, Jonas Satkūnas, Gediminas Vaitkevičius, Nikita Dobrotin, Jonas Liugas, Dainius Michelevičius, Ginutis Juozapavičius, Donatas Azaravičius, Šarūnas Skuodis, Mykolas Daugevičius, Rimas Grigas, and Algirdas Kaušpėdas.
The aim of the authors of the monograph „Gedimino miestas ir jo kalnas“ is to summarize the latest data from scientific and engineering research conducted over the past decade on the natural environment, geological structure, architecture, and the historical past and present of the Vilnius castle site – commonly known as Gediminas Hill, the Castle Hill, and the Upper and Lower Castle. The book is dedicated to the memory of the distinguished engineering geologist Kazimieras Monstvilas, a long-time researcher of the geological environment of the Vilnius castles.
