Sustainability Club „EkoLink“

A community that promotes sustainability values, operating in close partnership with the VILNIUS TECH Sustainability Hub. The Club brings together the University community, directly contributes to the implementation of the University’s sustainability strategy, and supports the development of sustainable initiatives.

Main Goal

To promote and coordinate community initiatives that address environmental awareness, sustainability culture, social responsibility, and activities related to the Sustainable Development Goals, and to contribute to the initiatives of the VILNIUS TECH Sustainability Hub.

Objectives

  • To educate the university community by organising discussions and practical workshops that help to better understand sustainability principles.
  • To create conditions for students to independently develop projects from idea to implementation using the Sustainability Hub’s equipment, while providing Club members with opportunities to test technologies, measure indicators, and apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
  • To promote innovation by organising idea competitions and hackathons, and by collaborating with academic staff and industry partners.
  • To establish partnerships by collaborating with other student organisations, municipal companies, NGOs, and businesses in the field of sustainability.
  • In collaboration with the VILNIUS TECH Sustainability Hub, to create an open space where members of the VILNIUS TECH community from different fields can share, discuss, and develop ideas to improve the university environment.

The Club welcomes a community that promotes sustainability values: VILNIUS TECH students, staff, and anyone interested in sustainability.

VILNIUS TECH students who have voluntarily registered as members of the Sustainability Club “EkoLink”. They have the right to vote in decision-making.
