This year, on March 31 at 4:20 PM, at the invitation of the lecturer of the Department of Management, Dr. Liudmila Lobanova, the Cognizant Lithuania team Agnė Bulytė (Team Lead) and Laura Urbonaitė (Team Lead) will give a lecture “ Leading changes in the teams”. The lecture will be held in Lithuanian in S3(SRK-I) 704 auditorium. In this session, Guest speakers from Cognizant we’ll explore how to effectively manage change within teams, especially during periods of transition, growth, or uncertainty. Drawing from real-world examples, the lecture will highlight practical strategies for leading through change, building resilience, and fostering a strong team culture. VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Business Management invites students and the university community to attend the open lecture “Leadership in Action: What Works, What Fails,” which will explore practical leadership principles that help leaders effectively manage teams, make decisions, and achieve long-term goals. The event will take place on March 12 at 12:10 p.m. in room S2 A04, Saulėtekio Ave. 11. The lecture will be delivered by leadership and business development expert Ryan Davis from Nashville, USA. For eight years, he participated in the Southwestern Advantage sales and leadership program, during which he communicated with more than 20,000 potential clients and became one of the program’s most successful sales representatives, closing more than 2,000 contracts. In 2011, R. Davis began working at the Southwestern Advantage headquarters in Nashville, where he specialized in business growth and social media marketing. Later, he was appointed Director of Sales Development. In the spring of 2020, he initiated the international leadership training and mentorship program Southwestern LEΔD, designed to help young people develop leadership skills and achieve their professional and personal goals. During the event, participants will learn how leaders can clearly assess the current situation, shape a team vision, and connect daily tasks with organizational goals. Students will also have the opportunity to explore practical leadership tools that help set clear goals, make complex decisions, and build a team culture based on trust. On February 26th, we invite you to participate in the VILNIUS TECH "Well-being Day" – an online event dedicated to raising awareness about mental health. We will cover neurodevelopmental disorders, universal design, youth mental health, and the importance of the student-lecturer relationship.   We will openly and boldly discuss important topics, share experiences, and seek new ways to improve emotional well-being. Note: the only lecture in English will be “I’m neurodivergent and I want everyone to know that…” (from 10.10 AM), but we invite you to participate in Lithuanian lectures too! It's a good chance to improve your languange skills.    PROGRAM   10:00-10:10 | Opening Remarks 10:10-11:10 | (In English) “I’m neurodivergent and I want everyone to know that…”: psychological insights from university students | Miglė Rudytė – VILNIUS TECH Psychologist, Coordinator for Students with Individual Needs, and PhD student at the VU Institute of Psychology. The presentation will address the mental health of young adults with neurodevelopmental disorders and the challenges they face in higher education. It will cover the main symptoms of neurodevelopmental disorders, common co-occurring conditions, and learning difficulties 11:10-12:10 | Youth Psychological Well-being in Times of Unrest and Artificial Intelligence | Giedrė Dautartaitė – Clinical Psychologist, Specialist at the Vilnius City Public Health Bureau. She will provide an overview of the current youth mental health situation, common difficulties, and available support options. 12:10-13:00 | Lunch Break 13:00-14:00 | Universal Design for Learning and Higher Education | Indrė Širvinskaitė – President of the Lithuanian Disability Forum. This lecture will examine accessibility in higher education – from legal frameworks to practical application. The principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) will be introduced, along with opportunities to apply them in the study process. Recently, students from the International Ukrainian School in Lithuania visited the Faculty of Business Management at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH).   During the visit, Dr Algita Miečinskienė, Head of the Department of Financial Engineering, introduced the English-taught programmes offered by the Faculty of Business Management, including the Financial Engineering programme, which aims to equip future finance professionals with a comprehensive knowledge of modern financial phenomena and the sustainable development of the financial system. Students also learned how to combine theory with practice through hands-on learning opportunities, including working with the Bloomberg Terminal, completing internships at leading financial companies, and gaining international experience through Erasmus+ mobility programmes.  The visitors were also interested in the admissions process, required documents, and scholarship opportunities. These topics were explained in detail by Ina Gujiene, Vice-Director of the International Studies Centre. The visit was organised by Dr Lesya Kolinets, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business Management.   We hope the meeting was informative and inspiring, and we look forward to welcoming many of these students to VILNIUS TECH next year.
