Publications and competitions

Research Monograph Competition

For the past seven years, staff of the Faculty of Creative Industries have received at least one prize each year in the annual VILNIUS TECH Monograph Competition.

2024
- 2nd place – Dr Asta Zelenkauskaitė’s monograph Creating Chaos Online: Disinformation and Subverted Post-Publics.
- 3rd place – Assoc. Prof. Dr Eglė Jaškūnienė’s monograph Photography in Lithuanian Graphic Design (1953–1988): Technology, Communication, Propaganda, and Aesthetics.

- 1st place – Prof. Dr Tomas Kačerauskas and Prof. Dr Algis Mickūnas, In Between Communication Theories Through One Hundred Questions.
- 2nd place – Prof. Dr Jūratė Šliogerienė, Social Media Use in University Studies.
- 3rd place – Dr Nida Vasiliauskaitė, Rationality or Justice? (Post)modern Utopia in Late 20th-Century Political Philosophy.

Each year, the Faculty’s researchers receive 2nd or 3rd place awards for their monographs.

2021

2nd prize – Dr Jolita Linkevičiūtė-Rimavičienė, Lecturer at the Faculty of Creative Industries, for the monograph Record of Origin: Communication and Cultural Hybridisation in Lithuania.

2020

2nd prize – Prof. Dr Tomas Kačerauskas and Lecturer Tautvydas Vėželis, Faculty of Creative Industries, for the monograph Regions of This-Sidedness: 50 Questions on Heidegger’s Philosophy.

2019

2nd prize – Dr Aušra Žemienė, Lecturer at the Faculty of Creative Industries, for the monograph Personal Names of Lithuania Minor: 18th–19th Centuries.

2018

3rd prize – Assoc. Prof. Dr Agnieška Juzefovič, Faculty of Creative Industries, for the monograph The Phenomenon of Emptiness.

Competition for the Best Research Articles

Between 2019 and 2023, researchers from the Faculty of Creative Industries received prize-winning places each year in the fields of Communication, Philosophy, Philology, and Art Studies.

Among the most frequently recognised researchers are Prof. Dr Marta Joanna Dynel, Prof. Dr Aelita Skaržauskienė, Prof. Dr Tomas Kačerauskas, Assoc. Prof. Dr Monika Mačiulienė, and others.

Other awards and recognition

Prof. Dr Marta Joanna Dynel – included in the list of the world’s top 2% most cited authors in the Scopus database (2018–2023).

Dr Vaida Buivydienė – Prize of the State Commission of the Lithuanian Language (2020).

Dr Nerijus Stasiulis – Award of the international journal Logos (2020); Lithuanian Academy of Sciences Young Scientists Award (2018).
