Information Systems Maintenance Service

The Information Technology and Systems Center (ITSC) carries out maintenance work for information systems and websites in accordance with the Description of the Information Systems Maintenance Service Procedure, approved by Rector's Order No. 155 on February 12, 2015.

Ordering and Planning Information System Maintenance Work

  • Orders can be submitted by VILNIUS TECH staff members who work with VILNIUS TECH information systems.
  • Maintenance orders are accepted only for systems specified in the list of maintained systems approved by the Head of ITSC.
  • Consultations regarding the formulation of orders are provided by the Head of the ITSC Programming Department.
  • ITSC plans information systems maintenance work on a quarterly basis.
  • Only orders submitted at least two weeks before the start of a quarter are included in the working group's quarterly plan deliberations.
  • Clients submit maintenance requests by filling out an order form. The order form must be submitted electronically to the Head of the Programming Department two weeks prior to the start of the quarter. A registration number is assigned to each order.

Information System Development Service (IT Projects)

The Information Technology and Systems Center (ITSC) carries out the creation, design, installation, and improvement of information systems and websites in accordance with the Description of the Information Systems Development (Projects) Service Procedure, approved by Rector's Order No. 119 on February 3, 2014.

ITSC information systems development work may consist of:

  • Internal projects: Initiated with the approval of the Rector, Vice-Rectors, or the Head of ITSC, and officially confirmed by the Rector.

  • External/Institutional projects: Projects where VILNIUS TECH is a coordinator or partner, or which provide a benefit to the university.

All information systems development work is planned by evaluating estimated project costs and outlining the necessary tasks. Project planning begins once the Head of ITSC receives a project assignment confirmed by the Rector.

A project is considered complete when the goals and results listed in the project assignment have been achieved and handed over for use, with the continuity of IT support and maintenance ensured.
