By connecting to the VILNIUS TECH VPN network, you agree to comply with the Litnet network usage rules.

Failure to follow these rules will result in temporary blocking of your VPN account.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connects separate, remote computers or networks into one unified network over the internet.

The “virtual” aspect means the network is created through the internet rather than direct physical connections. The “private” aspect means the network is protected from unauthorised external access.

VPN technology allows an organisation to securely and quickly extend its computer network – for example, by including a home computer or another remote device via the internet.

All data traffic in a VPN is encrypted, protecting the user from unauthorised viewing of information.

VILNIUS TECH uses high-security SSL VPN (Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network).

This technology applies stronger encryption and secure data transmission tunnels, giving the user the experience of working on the local university network regardless of their actual location.
