Interactive music recording booth for the exhibition “Artistas iš Brodo” (Vilnius City Museum)

At the Vilnius City Museum exhibition dedicated to Vytautas Kernagis, one of the many displays exploring the maestro’s life stands out for its sound. Visitors are invited to sing the much-loved song “Mūsų dienos kaip šventė!” and to do it together with the maestro’s voice. Record a verse and you’ll hear both Kernagis’s voice and your own. Later, all recordings will be brought together to create a collective choir of the exhibition’s visitors.

The exhibit was produced using 3D printing, CNC milling, and woodworking. Inside the booth, a kind of miniature audio studio has been installed with recording equipment and software.  An Arduino controller ensures smooth operation.

The exhibition “Artistas iš Brodo” at the Vilnius City Museum will run until the end of June 2026.
