The Interactive Recycling Machine brings a fun twist to the process of returning beverage containers. Shaped like a can, this machine is designed for use at festivals, encouraging recycling in an engaging way. When a container is inserted, the machine responds with a thank-you or playful sound effects, making recycling a more enjoyable experience.

Crafted from metal and coated using a specialized painting technique, the machine’s design mimics a beverage can, adorned with stickers promoting container returns. Its electronic system is powered by an open-source Raspberry Pi microcomputer. A 7-inch LCD screen displays real-time information about the amount of collected containers, combining functionality with entertainment to make recycling both effective and fun.
