I am pleased that the Sports and Arts Centre provides students with an open space where they can relax, be themselves and, most importantly, grow. It is rewarding to be part of such a large and inspiring community, where every small achievement becomes a meaningful success.

Sports have shown me that true strength is discovered by enduring the toughest moments. For me, it is not only about winning but also about the process of pushing myself to the limit.

Mindaugas Banzinas
Member of the Men’s Volleyball Team
Being a member of the men’s volleyball team for four years has been a great honour and responsibility. Thanks to the supportive people around me, I feel at home at the Sports and Arts Centre. Representing the University in competitions is a valuable experience that cannot be gained elsewhere.

Saulius Paukštė
Member of the Wrestling Team
During Integration Week, I learned about the VILNIUS TECH wrestling team. After leaving the lecture hall, I immediately called the coach, and the following week I was already training on the tatami at the Sports and Arts Centre. Over the years, I have made many friends, won several medals and learned a great deal. Now in my fourth year of studies, training has become a routine. Whether I have an exam or other academic commitments, I attend wrestling practice in the evenings to improve my technique and physical fitness, as well as to clear my mind. For the past two years, I have also been learning to play the guitar with Pilypas, guitarist of the band “jautì”, who helps me develop my own style and learn new songs. I would not exchange these experiences for anything.

Member of the Women’s Volleyball Team
The Sports and Arts Centre is like a small world within the University, full of energy, movement and inspiration. The women’s team is more than just a game – it is a place where effort turns into smiles, where defeats teach more than victories, and where the court becomes a stage on which a shared story is created. It is a great honour to be part of that story.

What People Say About Arts Activities
Domantas Ulys
Actor at the Theatre Studio “Palėpė”
For me, being part of “Palėpė” means finding purpose through doing what I love and being part of a community. The audience’s laughter, surprise, tears and words of appreciation are the greatest reward and the strongest motivation to continue creating and performing.

Aurelija Čioraitytė
Member of the Folk Dance Ensemble “Vingis”
“Vingis” has brought into my life not only new friendships, smiles and many memorable experiences, but also a strong understanding of the value of long-standing traditions and a deep appreciation of folk art. It is encouraging that alongside studies and lectures, the University provides opportunities to explore personal interests in the arts. Being part of this ensemble, I feel that I contribute to the University in many ways beyond creative ideas alone. “Vingis” is a gift to all of us, and I sincerely encourage others to join the ensemble.

Linas Juozas Kavaliauskas
Orchestra Member, Drummer
For me, this is not only an opportunity to perform and improve my musical skills, but also to become part of a warm, open and supportive community. The members of the orchestra are charismatic, talented and friendly. It is easy to make new connections and feel part of the community. Rehearsals are complemented by various trips, which become a genuine reward for the effort invested. One of the most memorable experiences was a trip to Riga, where after a concert the orchestra’s strong sense of community became evident in an informal setting. Moments like these show that the orchestra is not only about music, but also about shared experiences that remain in the memory for a long time.

Beatričė Zujevaitė
Orchestra Member
When I first heard about the orchestra auditions, I was hesitant to take part. I thought there would be more experienced musicians and that I might not be selected, as I had not attended a music school. However, because of my love for music, I decided to try and was warmly welcomed. I realised that what brings people together here is a shared passion for music. From this, new friendships and connections are formed. Being part of the orchestra means being surrounded by people who not only support you in your studies, but also open new opportunities, help you discover different sides of yourself and, when needed, inspire greater self-confidence.

Emilis Vaičiūnas
Member of the Academic Choir “Gabija”
Over the past few years in the choir, I have met many wonderful people with whom it is both enjoyable and inspiring to make music. The most rewarding part of singing in a choir is sharing emotions together, experiencing a strong sense of unity and working towards a common goal. I am pleased that the choir performs not only at various events in Lithuania, but also represents the University in international competitions and projects. It is encouraging to grow together and to strive for excellence rather than seeking the easiest path.

It is a great privilege for us to call ourselves members of “Vingis”. The people we meet here become friends, and the long-standing traditions of the ensemble become part of our way of life. As our choreographer once said, this is one of the best opportunities to experience genuine and fulfilling student life.

Being part of “Vingis” is a special experience. You are surrounded by people who always support you, offer help and never judge. Here, you discover your true self and meet many like-minded people. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to be part of “Vingis”.
