About

The VILNIUS TECH wrestling team consists of athletes who compete with determination, remain focused in challenging situations, and strive for the best results. The team is known for its persistence, technical skills, and respect for the sport. Each wrestler supports one another, and the training culture creates a strong community where high goals are achieved through consistent work.

  • Upcoming Student Competitions

    The 2026 Lithuanian Student Judo Championship will take place on 19 April at the VDU Sports Hall.

    The International Student SELL Games will take place on 22–24 May in Riga, Latvia.

    2025/2026 academic year

    Lithuanian Student Sambo Championship

    The Lithuanian Student Sambo Championship took place at the sports hall of Kaunas University of Technology KTU on 25 October. The strongest student athletes from seven higher education institutions in Lithuania competed on the tatami.

    Participants were welcomed by the President of the Lithuanian Student Sports Association, Indrė Čelkienė, and the President of the Lithuanian Sambo Federation, Linas Obcarskas. They wished the athletes determined and fair competition, as well as sporting success. After the student anthem “Gaudeamus igitur”, the chief referee introduced the rules and competition procedures.

    Male and female athletes competed in the following weight categories:

    Men’s weight categories: under 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, over 98 kg.
    Women’s weight categories: under 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, over 80 kg.

    First place winners: Mariia Cheprakova, Deimantė Miliauskaitė, and Ernestas Grakavinas.
    Second place: Rytis Jaraminas.
    Third place winners: Oleksiy Litovkin, Svajūnas Stasiukaitis, and Piotr Pantirchin.

    In the women’s team ranking, athletes from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University VILNIUS TECH placed third.

    5th place: Dominykas Ulevič and Mateuš Vladyslav Litvinovič.
    7th place: Juozas Marozas and Donatas Balsys.
    9–11th places: Anton Mamus and Andrej Bražnik.
    9–14th places: Nikita Pudriakov and Simonas Zykus.
    9–20th places: Taron Sargsyan, Danny Josue Bravo Benalcazar, Justas Razmus, Daniel Rasomackij, and Tautvydas Kerutis.

    The VILNIUS TECH sambo team is coached by Algirdas Šulinskas.

    Lithuanian Junior and Youth Sambo Championship

    On 21 February, the Lithuanian Junior and Youth Sambo Championship took place in Vilnius, bringing together 137 athletes from various cities across Lithuania.

    The competition featured strong performances and closely contested matches. Athletes demonstrated solid technical preparation and determination to achieve victory.

    Among the prize winners were members of the VILNIUS TECH team:
