To support the development of curious and creative individuals who can design and use tools and confidently solve challenging problems.

To support the development of curious and creative individuals who can design and use tools and confidently solve challenging problems.
The Centre is involved in creative projects at all levels of study, organises activities for school pupils, collaborates with industry, and participates in research projects.

Who Can Create?

Students

The Centre brings together students from all levels of study, from first-year undergraduates to doctoral candidates. They design and produce prototypes, carry out course and final project work, and take part in engineering idea competitions.

School Pupils

The Centre’s activities also involve school pupils participating in the “Ateities inžinerija” programme. They take part in consultations, develop projects, and gain experience in engineering workshops within the university environment.

Anyone with Ideas

TCIC also operates partly as an open-access workshop. A student with an idea they wish to develop can contact the Head of the Centre and use the available tools, equipment and consultations.

Technical Capabilities

Almost anything can be created at the Centre – from simple components to fully functioning models – using a wide range of processing tools and modern equipment, including 3D printers, welding and measurement laboratories, and CNC machines.

Centre Units

The Centre has two professional creative workshops designed for practical and creative activities.

Wood Technology Workshop

A place where students create various models from wood and wood-based materials.

Casting and Welding Workshop

A workshop where students form sand moulds and cast components using molten metals. Different parts are joined using welding techniques.
