The Office of the Ombudsman for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania cordially invites you to participate in the annual international conference “Open but Secure Science: Where Should We Draw the Line?”, dedicated to World Ethics Day.
The conference will take place on October 2, 2026, in the Grand Conference Hall of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (Gedimino pr. 3, Vilnius). The event will be conducted in English. Please note that the conference will be held in person only — remote participation is not available.
At this year’s conference, we invite you to discuss how to balance scientific openness and security in today’s world. Experts at the event will address issues related to research security, academic ethics, open science, international collaboration, and the dissemination of scientific results.
The event will feature experts from ten European countries — France, Slovenia, Germany, Belgium, Ukraine, Latvia, Croatia, Ireland, Romania, Greece, and, of course, Lithuania.
Participation in the conference is by advance registration only. The registration form can be found here.
