The last meeting of the BlendED 4Future Erasmus+ blended mobility programme took place in Porto, Portugal, from 6 to 10 July. The event was organised by the Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP) and adidas Porto.
For the past six months, 6 international teams of 55 students from 15 universities (including ATHENA Alliance members) have been remotely tackling innovation challenges posed by European companies and startups. Working in multicultural groups, students have developed prototypes, interacted directly with business leaders and gained practical experience.
Programs like BlendED show how Erasmus+ blended mobility combines higher education with industry, allowing students to gain international experience, solve real-world challenges, and build professional networks that extend far beyond the classroom. This initiative has proven the value of international collaboration: the organization’s excellent evaluation results, some of them confirmed their participation in the program next year, and some students received internships and job offers.
VILNIUS TECH was represented by four students from the Faculties of Electronics and Creative Industries: Rugilė Venckevičiūtė, Deimantė Pilipavičiūtė, Hlib Stepanenko and Betul Vera Cengiz. The students applied their academic knowledge to solve real business challenges and strengthened their teamwork and intercultural communication skills.
