CUCEE Online Lecture Series: “Modern Advanced Systems and Technological Processes for Sustainable Economic Development”

CUCEE (Cooperation of Universities in Central and Eastern Europe) is a network of universities aiming to promote international collaboration among higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. The network invites students to experience the benefits of an international environment by participating in an online lecture series.
 
This interdisciplinary lecture series, conducted in English, features lecturers from renowned European universities. The topics cover advanced, future-oriented technologies aimed at the sustainable development of modern systems, encompassing fields such as automation, electrical engineering, mechanics, artificial intelligence, and more. Among the lecturers is Prof. Dr. Raimondas Pomarnacki from the Faculty of Electronics.
 
Students will be able to explore technical topics in an international setting, engage in practical examples, develop intercultural competencies, and establish international contacts. This lecture series offers a valuable opportunity to engage with cutting-edge topics and connect with peers and experts across Europe.

  • May 6 – Dr. Even Sekhri (Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia): “Solving the Complexity of Tuning the Microwave Bandpass Filters by Robotics”
  • May 13 – Dr. Łukasz Macioszek (University of Zielona Góra, Poland): “Wireless Sensor Networks for the Internet of Things”
  • May 20 – Prof. Dr. Raimondas Pomarnacki (VILNIUS TECH, Lithuania): “Development of the Electrical Schematics to Control an Electrical Drive”
  • May 27 – Prof. Sebastian Schrems (Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, Germany): “CO₂ Footprint”
  • June 3 – Prof. Mariusz Stępień (Silesian University of Technology, Poland): “Superconducting Technology for Energy Conversion and Distribution”
  • June 10 – Dr. Oleksii Kuznietsov (Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine): “Energy Storage Systems in Energy Engineering and e-Transportation”
Important Information:
  • Lectures are held at 5:00 PM Lithuanian time (4:00 PM CET).
  • Each week, a lecturer from a different European university will present.
  • Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours:
    • Lecture: 30 to 45 minutes
    • Small group discussion: up to 30 minutes
    • Joint discussion: 30 minutes in plenary session
  • Participation is free and open to both students and university staff.
  • Participants who attend at least 5 lectures and submit a short term paper on one of the lectures will receive an official certificate.
