On March 20, the exhibition "Between Life and Death: Sketches of Everyday Life" by Agna Petkevičiūtė, a third-year student from the Faculty of Architecture, was presented in the VILNIUS TECH Library Gallery. Agna Petkevičiūtė is the 2024 laureate of the Lithuanian Architectural Drawing Competition organized by Lithuania's higher architecture schools.
"This exhibition, my second solo show, consists of two sections: a series of paintings that depict various fragments of life and graphic works in three dimensions, which reflect inner visual representations of the world. The exhibition as a whole leads the viewer through a journey that explores distinctive moments of life and internal emotional states. It is an invitation to engage in self-reflection, to pause in an ever-accelerating world, amidst the bustling urban environment, and to focus on the multi-layered, multi-dimensional world, delving into that which often remains unnoticed, imperceptible, and unseen. Here, monochrome and polychrome palettes intertwine, while the third and fourth dimensions—space and time—emerge, bringing a sense of stillness that encourages one to listen, observe, see, and feel," explains the exhibition’s author, Agna Petkevičiūtė.
The exhibition in the VILNIUS TECH Library Gallery A is open for viewing until March 28.
