We invite you to visit the graphic art exhibition „Passengers“ by Edita Augustaitytė, currently on view at Gallery A (Saulėtekio al. 14, 2nd floor).
A graduate of Marijampolė Art School and Kaunas Higher School of Arts, Edita Augustaitytė continued her artistic journey at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, where she received her Master’s degree.
„I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I’m always fascinated by colors, lines, textures, proportions. With paper and paint, I create a reflection of my own world,” says the artist. In her creative process, she often begins with an eye – a sort of anchor point – from which lines extend into space, intertwining, merging, and turning into shapes: sometimes just suggested, sometimes rich with pigment.
The artist’s works balance between introverted caution and extroverted expression. The exhibition showcases both completely new pieces and works that had been tucked away for many years in her childhood home in Marijampolė, only recently brought into the light.
„I am deeply grateful to those who encourage me to create and share. Thank you to everyone interested in my work,” says Edita Augustaitytė.
The exhibition „Passengers“ at Gallery A is open until September 26.
