At the end of June of this year, the impact factors of international scientific journals were published. VILNIUS TECH international scientific journal
"TRANSPORT" (the Editor-in-Chief prof. dr. Olegas Prentkovskis) was positively evaluated and ranked higher than before. According to Clarivate Analytics Corporation's Web of Science database, the journal rose from the Q4 quartile to the Q3 (category: Transportation Science and Technology). This year, the category of Transportation Science and Technology included more scientific journals than before (for example, there were 31 scientific journals in 2022 and 72 scientific journals in 2023), so the ranking of the journal published by the faculty increased from 31/40 (Q4) to 50/72 (Q3). According to Elsevier's Scopus database, the journal's ranking remained unchanged and remained in the Q2 quartile (categories: Automotive Engineering and Mechanical Engineering), at 37/115 and 268/631, respectively.
Another VILNIUS TECH international scientific journal "AVIATION" (the Editor-in-Chief dr. Gintautas Bureika) was previously included in the Web of Science database of the Clarivate Analytics Corporation, but for the first time it is included in the Q3 quartile (category: Engineering, Aerospace) and out of 52 magazines listed in the same category is ranked 38th. Elsevier's Scopus database has previously included this journal and is currently in the Q3 quartile (category: Aerospace Engineering).
VILNIUS TECH publishes 16 peer-reviewed University journals: eight journals are about physical sciences and technology fields, five in social sciences, and three are multidisciplinary. All journals are published using the Open Access model. As of 2018, all articles are published under the CC-BY 4.0 licence, allowing the academic community worldwide to access and use VILNIUS TECH's content for free.
