From October 8 to 27, the international festival "Nepatogus Kinas" ("Inconvenient Films") will invite lovers of true stories—selected documentaries—to their screens. It can be confidently said that the festival will spread throughout Lithuania, as the films will be available not only on cinema and home screens but also in nearly 300 libraries across the country. The VILNIUS TECH Library is joining the festival, allowing its visitors to watch festival films for free.
“We select not only those films that have gained recognition at the most important European and global film festivals in the past year but also those that personally moved or surprised us. That’s why we are particularly eager to share these films with a broader audience,” says Gediminas Andriukaitis, head of the "Nepatogus Kinas" festival.
The films in the festival's virtual cinema hall can be watched for free on VILNIUS TECH Library computers from October 8 to 27. We recommend bringing your own headphones, and the viewing time can be chosen at your convenience. Login credentials for the virtual cinema will be provided by the staff of the Central Library or reading rooms in faculties. You can already browse and select the films you'd like to watch on the "Nepatogus Kinas" website: www.nepatoguskinas.lt.
"Nepatogus Kinas" is an international human rights documentary film festival that has been held annually since 2007. It is a non-commercial event that aims to create a space for discussions on human rights, politics, social responsibility, and sustainability, to inform the public about global issues, and to encourage awareness and critical thinking.
