Today the Faculty of Transport Engineering welcomed representatives of the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Lithuania – Deputy Head of Mission Alice Barberis, Consular Affairs Attaché Kristaps Jerums, and other embassy staff members.
During the visit, the guests learned about our study programmes – Transport Engineering, Logistics and Transport Management, Transport Engineering Economics and Logistics, as well as student exchange opportunities and the research projects and achievements of the faculty’s academic staff.
After the official part, the delegation was introduced to the faculty’s infrastructure and modern laboratories. The representatives of the Italian Embassy showed their interest in our e-racing simulators, innovative research facilities, and the practical aspects of our daily academic activities.
According to the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Olegas Prentkovskis, “such visits are not only diplomatic meetings, but also an important opportunity to foster international cooperation. Transport engineering and logistics connect not only countries but also people.”
